Story
🤣🤣🤣🤣 I have done several different types of fundraising challenges over the years to raise money for good causes - from 10k runs, rough sleeps, trekking across the Sahara and even a firewalk. So to mix it up a bit and to push myself so far out of my comfort zone (I may vom!), I've signed up to take part in a charity stand up comedy gig...at The Leadmill on Sunday 10th December! Eeek! This is not a joke, I repeat, this is not a joke! Hopefully I will be funny (ha ha, not funny peculiar)!
I'm doing this to to raise money for Sheffield Churches Council for Community Care. (FYI they aren't a Church, nor a Council and they don't do Community Care!). What they do provide, is support and help to lonely and isolated older people in Sheffield and Doncaster.
This last year has been pretty tough personally. Without going into details, (many of you will already know) my lovely mum hasn't been well and has had a very challenging time which is still ongoing. So I've had a bit more of an insight than I expected, about how rough it can be for older people and the thought of those without any family or friends to help them, breaks my heart.
Please consider donating what you can so SCCCC's can help more older people not feel alone, afraid and isolated.
Also, if you really want to come and have a laugh (for once its actually ok to laugh AT ME, not just with me), tickets can be purchased via:
Ultra Comedy Sheffield - 10-12-2023 - Ultra Tickets and write my name where it asks who you are supporting. NB the tickets cost £25 each and all the proceeds from the tickets cover the venue, photography, videography costs. Only donations given on my page go to the charity.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
