We Support Victims & Raise Awareness to put an end to one-punch/social violence

Story

Myself, Dave Hardy and Paul Barrett will be running the GNR this year in aid of One Punch NE charity. It is a charity close to our hearts and we would like to raise as much money as possible for them.
On the 23rd December 2015 my brother Stephen Willey aged 45, was subjected to a horrific and unprovoked attack while waiting for a bus with his wife in Newcastle, leaving him with severe head injuries.
Since the devastating incident, Stephen has not yet regained consciousness and is now in a neuro nursing home receiving 24 hour care. His future and the extent of his injuries remains unknown.
As his brother I am running the great north run with Steve’s two good friends, Dave Hardy and Paul Barrett to support One Punch NE charity . This charity raises awareness of the devastation one punch can do to victims and families. Myself, family and friends have received support from One Punch NE and we would like to raise money for for this fantastic cause, continuing to raise awareness.
Should you find you would like to sponsor us or donate, you can contribute right here on this page.
With heartfelt thanks. #wakeupsteve #runningforsteve #onepunchne
