Story
I am swimming 1km at the Wild Wood swim on the 29th August for my friends Rhi & Ric Preece. We first met through our fabulous swim group Shoreham Beach Swimmers (fondly known as SBS). This group have became an integral part of my life, often found dipping and swimming in the sea, eating cake, and even known to go out, out.
Rhi and Ric suffered the unimaginable, losing their son Winston just before his fourth birthday. He would have been ten this year. I cannot imagine what Rhi & Ric went through and how they continue to face each day without him but their strength and resilience is astounding. If I can do my small part and help raise some much needed funds for another family to receive support at such a traumatic time please do dig deep and click on that link!!

This will be my first 'big' swim in over 18 months, after some ongoing health annoyances. I am confident with this fabulous group of humans and Winstons will we will all smash it, eat cake and keep on swimming.
I am making a splash for children’s hospice care this summer as I take on the Wildwood open water swimming challenge! I will be swimming non-stop to raise money for Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice. Chestnut Tree House is the children’s hospice for Sussex and South East Hampshire. Thanks to support from the local community children and families who know they don’t have long together have the chance to live life to the full and say goodbye in the way that is right for them.£175 could pay for three families and their child to each have a couple of hours splashing about safely in the hydrotherapy pool, accompanied by a specialist nurse. Any donation you make is greatly appreciated
