Our beautiful baby boy Ollie John Edwardson was sadly stillborn on 02/12/2022 at 26 weeks gestation. We are fundraising in his memory to help support SiMBA who provided us with Ollie’s much loved memory box, something that we will treasure for life. SiMBA also fund the family rooms that we used at the Princess Royal maternity hospital in Glasgow. These rooms allow families experiencing stillbirth the space and privacy needed to have their babies away from the labour ward. 

SiMBA are facing a funding crisis and without immediate fundraising efforts could face closure in as little as three months. To go through the loss of Ollie without the support from SiMBA is unimaginable, and so we are fundraising to ensure no family should ever have to go through the most heartbreaking time of their lives without the precious keepsakes provided in their memory boxes. We know that these boxes are a lifeline for bereaved parents. 

We’re planning on raising funds throughout 2023 and will be kicking off by running 5k a day in the month of February, joined by Lynsey’s friend Lucy, before taking part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk on 30/04/2023 (hopefully with some more willing volunteers). Stay tuned for some updates (and please feel free to suggest any ideas).
