We created it as an opportunity to help sponsor the 2018 biomedical research conference events organised and hosted by the charity Invest in ME Research (ME stands for Myalgic Encephalomyelitis).  

We can't attend their annual conference as we are housebound by ME, so this year we had the idea of simply donating to the charity instead, and we thought other supporters might like to do the same.

 IiME Research has no paid staff and receives no government funding to support its vital work on initiating and progressing biomedical research to establish diagnostic tests and medical treatments for ME, so every donation really helps this small charity to make their international biomedical research conference events bigger and better year on year, enabling an increasing number of scientists from around the world to get involved in finding answers to this dreadful disease.
