Cancer is one of the most heart-breaking words for anyone to hear, and it's even harder when it's someone close to you.

My close family friend fell ill at the start of this year, which is when he found out he had cancer. He kept his spirits up to spend as much time as he could with his 2 young boys and his wife. Sadly, his friend passed away only a few months later.

I will be running the Marathon in his memory and to raise money for the great charity Cancer Research Wales, whose research helps to prevent, diagnose, and treat cancer.
