Story
Hi, my names Steven and I am fundraising for Christian Blind Mission. Over the last year I was facing blindness due to very aggressive fast progressing cataracts. I received cataract surgery which restored my vision. It was a very scary and uncertain time of my life. The whole experience of having normal eyesight to not being able to see much of anything in less than one year, were the most difficult months of my life. Losing the ability to see impacts your health in so many different ways.
I count myself blessed that I was able to receive the treatment I needed which restored my vision. Since I have first hand experience with both facing blindness, and having my vision restored, I (hopefully with your help) want to help CBM UK, who are helping people in poorer countries. A lot of these people are facing sight threatening problems and going needlessly blind simply because they cannot afford the surgery they need that would restore their vision so that they could lead a better quality of life. I believe everyone should have access to health care. I plan on walking 10,000 steps every day in May, something I have never attempted before, and I would very much like you to be a part of my journey in giving hope to those less fortunate than me.
Any donations, however small, would be gratefully received. Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure.
