We support bereaved people in Scotland to help them understand and navigate grief

Story

James, Sophie and I are three S6 pupils at George Heriot's School who are volunteering at Cruse Bereavement Scotland as part of our S6 voluntary program. The Edinburgh Team of Cruse Scotland has been supporting bereaved people in Edinburgh since 1966. Their counsellors, who are all volunteers, have all undergone special training about the process of grieving and how to work with bereaved people of all ages and backgrounds, including children. The pain of losing someone we love is unlike any other pain. It challenges the whole basis of our lives.
James and I are running from the Forth Road Bridge for a half marathon. All donations would be much appreciated and will go towards helping train counsellors for this brilliant charity.
