Story
Club Captain, Susanna Gillett has selected Richmond Mind as their chosen charity for 2022.
They have set a £20,000 target for the year so please donate generously
One in four of us will develop a mental health issue in any
given year. That is the statistic before you add Covid-19 into the equation.
With the spotlight on mental health, we’ve chosen Richmond
Borough Mind as our charity for 2022. An independent charity, not a branch of Mind, based in Richmond supporting the people of Richmond.
We’d like to support Richmond Borough in developing their
support for younger generations. Children and young people are one of the worst affected age groups in terms of mental health outcomes as a result of the pandemic. This coupled with worrying local statistics is why we have chosen to help.
Richmond has:
- 4th worst youth wellbeing scores in London
- 3rd highest rate of hospital admission for self-harm
- 1 in 3 of 16-19 year old's already have a mental health diagnosis

and Care Plan 2019 - 2021
