Over the next 18 months Dominic is taking on 3 challenges for the ultimate Triathlon.

Firstly is the Marathon Des Sables - a 6 day, 250km ultramarathon, in the Sahara desert.  This is regarded as the toughest foot race on earth.

Secondly is the Cross Chanel swim from England to France.  This is a grueling 30+km swim that starts from Shakespeare's Cliff near Dover and (hopefully ) ends on the French coast near Boulogne.

Thirdly, and finally, there is the last leg of the triathlon which is a bike ride from Amsterdam to Disneyland Paris.  For this Dominic will be joined by a few other riders including Nick who is one of the trustees of Fulfil the Wish.  The route is yet to be finalised but will be around 550km over 4 days.  Starting in Amsterdam the riders will take in the scenic countryside and aim to arrive at the Newport Bay Hotel at Disneyland Paris at the same time as the coach of families on the annual trip.  The it will be time for a well earned beverage (or two) and a long soak in the bath ready for some fun time with Mickey and Co.

To make it worse our Trustee, Nick, will then have to push his son William around the park in his wheelchair for the next 3 days!!

The first two events will be undertaken in 2022 with the bike ride in August 2023 coinciding with the annual trip.

Fulfil the Wish is a registered charity which was founded in 2000 to provide activity and sightseeing holidays for children and young people who have lifelong and life-limiting disabilities. 

Our activities are designed with the whole family in mind and they allow people to meet others in similar situations to themselves. Our annual trip to Disneyland Paris and Fun Club events are the highlights on the calendar, but the charity has also been the foundation for lifelong friendships and gives families confidence to go on their own adventures
