Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

It takes something special or important for a bunch of IT guys to put down their coffee mugs and get out of their well contoured desk chairs.

Great Ormond Street Hospital is both of those things, and then some. Since its formation in 1852, the hospital has been dedicated to children’s healthcare and to finding new and better ways to treat childhood illnesses.

Whilst the NHS meets day-to-day running costs, it is the Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) Children's Charity that makes all the difference to the brave 600 children a day that arrive for life-changing treatments, so that being sick does not always mean being sad.

This extraordinary hospital has always depended on charitable support, and every day is a chance for all of us to make a difference.

In the week of their first ever meet up after working together for 18 months - that doesn't involve webcams - the Fujitsu Architecture Practice for the Whitbread account have set themselves the challenge of walking like they haven't walked before! For that week, they have set a target of walking 560,000 steps - equivalent to 280 miles - in the name of the GOSH Children's Charity with the hope of raising £10,000 through the generosity of the Fujitsu family and friends.

This donation will be allocated to the Whitbread Force for Good fund, specifically targeting the GOSH Sight & Sound Centre. For more information about this great cause visit the website: https://www.gosh.nhs.uk/news/welcome-to-our-new-sight-and-sound-centre/
