Story
A few months ago, my family’s whole life was turned upside down. Just when you think that things are bad, with all that is going on with Covid-19, we find out the news that our dad/husband/amps, has been diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. Unfortunately, it is incurable due to the aggressive nature of this form of cancer. He is currently undergoing chemotherapy up in London every Tuesday in the hope that this will slow down the growth of the cancer.
My dad has always been so active and healthy, it is devastating seeing him lose his energy and enthusiasm he always had. It goes to show that cancer has no prejudice, you can be fit and health one minute and sick the next.
I have put together a team of close friends and keen riders to tackle the London to Brighton bike ride to not only raise some money for the charity (Sarcoma-UK), that helps research into the specific cancer my dad has been diagnosed with, but also to help raise awareness. I for one had never heard of sarcoma and I am sure I am not alone in this.

I’m supporting Sarcoma UK, a national charity that funds vital research, offers support for anyone affected by sarcoma cancer and campaigns for better treatments. Sarcoma is a type of cancer that develops in the bone and soft tissue. It is difficult diagnose and one of the hardest to treat. By supporting me, we can help change this. Your donation will help researchers find answers, keep our Support Line open, and raise awareness to improve treatment and standards of care.Thank you for your support.
