Story
Gary Eisenhauer, a Petroleum Geologist at Robertson, a CGG Company (formerly Fugro Robertson) in Llandudno, is undertaking a challenging bike ride to raise funds for a local charity. Gary, a member of Rhos on Sea Cycling Club, who has previously cycled from Lands End to John O'Groats in support of St David's Hospice, is now planning to cycle over 500 miles to raise money for Kyle's Miracle Wish.
Robertson became part of CGG in February 2013, and Gary's bike ride will start at CGG headquarters in Montparnasse, Paris, on the 7th June, visiting CGG offices in Massy, Crawley and Wallingford, before returning to Llandudno on the 13th June. Several colleagues from CGG in Crawley are hoping to join Gary en route, taking in part of the Box Hill Climb, a section of the Olympic Road Race route.
All funds raised from the bike ride will go towards Kyle's Miracle Wish, in support of Kyle Weaver, who suffers from spastic diplegia cerebral palsy. Robertson is supporting Kyle’s Miracle Wish as its Charity of the Year 2012/13, and have previously donated £2430 from a variety of staff fundraising efforts, including cake sales and sponsored runs. Kyle's Grandfather, Derek Hobson, is a regular driver for Robertson, and the Company have chosen to support Kyle's Miracle Wish to help raise funds for Kyle’s recent selective dorsal rhizotomy operation which will hopefully help Kyle walk without a wheelchair or K-frame in the future. Kyle and his family are currently in the US, where Kyle underwent the life-changing surgery on the 21st May. Funds raised from Gary’s sponsored bike ride will contribute to Kyle’s post-operative physiotherapy costsThanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
