We are raising money to thank the Marie Curie Nurses who were so fantastic in looking after Linda Folwell over the last weeks as she fought her battle against cancer.  The speed of Linda's illness caught us all by surprise and we, her friends, want to show our gratitude for the tremendous care they gave her especially in her last few days. Linda touched our lives in many ways; be it through family and friendship, her skill on the dartboard at the Ganton Greyhound, her love of horse- racing and of course her dedication to Thirsk and Malton Conservatives. Linda was a stalwart of the Association over very many years and has played a huge part as Chairman for the last 2 1/2 years as well as Deputy Chairman before that and held roles on various committees/clubs and branches dating back to the 1990s. She was always there to listen and give out her wise counsel when required. Her sense of humour and quick wit touched us all - often at times when it was most needed! 

Our thoughts and prayers, at this sad time, go to her family and all her many friends – among whom we feel immensely fortunate to count ourselves. She will be very terribly missed.
