UPDATE: SEPT 2014 - I am sure you will all be surprised and delighted at the huge amount we have all raised in Jackie's name for Cancer Research.
During the Summer Barclays Bank matched our RACE for LIFE total adding £326.66 - our thanks to Laura.
Ashford Prep School raised £113.00 during Science Day and a further £105.00 was raised from the Strawberry Teas served throughout June and July.  None of these totals show on the page as they were sent direct to Cancer Research, but the amount is confirmed.

On behalf of everyone involved, we would like to say a huge thank you to you all, Jackie would have been overwhelmed and pleased with us all.

Further update, the PTA at ASHFORD SCHOOL have very generously donated £1,000 to this worthwhile cause.  On behalf of everyone involved in the fundraising, Jackie's family and all who have lost to this dreadful disease, we would like to say a big thank you and well done to you all - our total now stands at £3,176 - what an amazing achievement !!  The £1,000 from the PTA is being donated straight to Cancer Research in Jackie's name so will not appear on the total on this page.

WE HAVE NOW DONE IT! We all took part in the Race for Life at Hastings yesterday with thousands of other supporters.  We had a good day and rejoiced with our medals at the end. 

We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us with good wishes and money.  We are almost at the £2,000 point - we have raised £1,946!! as of now 16 June 2014. 

But, we know lots of you have still not given and have expressed a wish to.  The sponsorship Just Giving page will stay open until 03 August 2014 for all donations.

Jackie's family are absolutely delighted with the kindness everyone has shown and like us, are very grateful for the donations in Jackie's name. Jackie touched many people's lives and is sadly missed, but we are happy to be doing this for her.

Elaine Williams, Denise Dodds, Caro Sparks, Andrea Brittain and Jacqui Davis all from Ashford Prep School and Laura Loudon, Elaine's daughter, are taking part in the Race for Life on June 15 at Hastings in aid of Cancer Research.  There are other members of staff who are racing at different venues, on different days for the same cause - Paula Leyden is one.

Jackie Ayling was our friend and colleague who had worked at the school for 7 years.  She was tragically diagnosed with cancer at the end of March and after a fierce, determined battle, finally succumbed to the disease.
