Story
Myself and other dads on the TeamDad Lancashire Facebook group wanted to do a fundraiser before christmas, to put a positive spin at the end of a difficult year for everyone. We have decided to do a 16.5 mile walk starting from Blackpool FC Bloomfield Road football stadium and we are walking to Preston North Ends Deepdale football stadium.
We came across Freyas dad on the group who explained Freyas story, and we couldn't think of a better cause to do it for.
Message from Freyas dad:
I wanted to share a little bit about one of the bravest little girls I know, my daughter Freya. She was born with cerebral palsy and two holes in her heart. At the age of 7 shes already had three open heart ops and I can honestly say for nearly every day of her life shes had a smile on her face. This page essentialy is to make people aware that Freya has had sdr surgery in Jan 2018 which was funded with the help of the local community as the NHS does not fund it. For this op to be a success and due to the severity of Freyas cerebral palsy the money raised will continue to pay for physiotherapy (at a cost of £240 per week), specialist equipment and therapy etc. .
We know times are tough for everybody, but we are doing this walk for a very special girl, and any donations will be gratefully appreciated.
Thank you all,
from Jake, Darren and the TeamDad Lancashire Charity Walkers.
