In May 2015 I will be headed to Sangilo, Malawi, for 10 weeks with the International Citizen Service (ICS) charity Lattitude Global Volunteering. This charity aims to help educate, develop and inspire young people worldwide by having both UK and in-country volunteers working together to help make a change in the communities who have specifically asked for their help.

The community I will be working with is very poor with little electricity or running water. Our aim is to help children gain access to an education by supporting teachers as well as supporting the construction of basic amenities and the repair and construction of school blocks.

I need to raise £1,000 for Lattitude Global Volunteering to help them continue to provide the opportunities to volunteers and the communities they support. For more information about the incredible work Lattitude do, please check out their website: http://www.lattitude.org.uk/

ICS's motto is "Challenge yourself to change your world" with this in mind I plan to challenge myself in my much beloved passion for cycling by cycling from my home town Stoke Gifford in South Gloucestershire to Lands End in Cornwall. Within 48 hours I hope to cover 200 miles along the National Cycle Network across four counties.
