We are moving further, faster to help everyone affected by a brain tumour

Story

Last summer a great friend of mine persuaded me to join her and four other friends in training and completing a channel relay. To some this may seem an easy challenge however as somebody who had a fear of open water swimming this was the first hurdle I had to overcome. We are now six days away from our swim window of the 4th to 11th of July, qualifying swims have been completed by us all, a strict training regime upheld all we need now is the right weather!

I have chosen to support The Brain Tumour Charity as it is very personal to me and this is why:

In December last year my Aunt got rushed into hospital and had to have major surgery to remove a large brain tumour. A few weeks late, she unfortunately received the devastating news that the tumour was cancer and incurable. The type of cancer she has comes with a prognosis, on average, of 1-2 years life expectancy. Thousands of people face this devastating news every year. This is a very under funded cancer and any donation no matter how small will make a huge difference.

Thank you for your support.
