We chose Cancer Research UK as our main charity for this academic year after voting as a whole school. The students and adult staff came to this decision with comments such as "it affects 1 in 2 people, we have to work harder to find a cure, I lost someone to cancer ..." There was a majority decision that came from a genuine understanding of how much cancer affects us all.
