Story
Hello and thank you for visiting our page.
My name is Isabelle and I am 9 years old. This year with the help of my friend Estelle and a group of my Mum’s friends we are taking part in Race for Life and together we are ‘Isabelle and the French Martinis’.
We are doing Race for Life in memory of my Mum who died last year, after 8 years battling cancer. It is because of the work Cancer Research UK does that she managed to fight for such a long time and that I have lots and lots of memories of her and all the things we did together. Unfortunately this work is very expensive to fund and that is why we do Race for Life and need your money.
Karen was our friend and very much loved and admired by all. She supported fundraising throughout her 8 year battle and that’s why we have to continue the fight.
We hope you will give whatever you can afford, no matter how small, to support us in the fight against cancer. “My Mum always told me she loved me to the moon, the stars, all the planets and back again. And that’s as far as we will go to make sure that one day we find a cure for cancer so no other families have to suffer”.
When you give money, you are helping scientists get closer to finding a cure.
£2 buys 100 glass slides, essential to analyse cancer cells.
£5 kits one of the research labs out with essential chemicals.
£8 helps develop a new screening technique to detect cancer earlier.
£20 will help achieve the goal of everyone beating cancer.
Lets beat cancer sooner.
