Story
A few months ago Freddie came to me and told me how unfair it was that ‘girls can say whatever they want, but if boys say the same things they get made fun of’ he was talking about a situation at school, but he understood that this was further reaching, he wanted to change this to ensure that when boys spoke of their feelings they were listened to and not mocked. Freddie took his concerns to his teacher and his schools’ Pupil Voice group and as a result a boy’s mental health group has been set up! But he’s not finished there - when he heard about this opportunity to fundraise and raise awareness at the same time he jumped at it! Freddie is a keen runner, at 10 years old his coaches feel running 5k would be a fair challenge - but as this is ‘10k for July’ Freddie will be doing two 5k races. We will aims to complete the 2 5k at Parkrun so they will be timed and officially recorded.
Good Luck Freddie!
