Umm... The unbelievably unhealthy boy you all put up with is, somehow, gonna run a marathon. Please help... #Shit

I chose to support Anthony Nolan because I'm on the stem cell register (... And Rachel used to work there... so I had no other choice). She has a feeling that one day I will get called up to donate my stem cells to someone in need of a lifesaving transplant, through a simple and painless process similar to giving blood. That's what she tells me anyway.

It costs £40 to add each new donor to the stem cell register, so I want to raise at least £1000 and add 25 new potential donors to the register. Donate and sign up to join the register, PLEASE!

For those of you who haven't heard of Anthony Nolan, they are the charity who save the lives of people with blood cancer. They do amazing work for the huge, huge number of people who suffer from blood related illnesses.

Every 14 minutes, someone is diagnosed with blood cancer such as leukaemia. For many, a bone marrow or blood stem cell transplant is their only chance.

They need cells from a healthy person – with the same tissue type – to replace and repair their own damaged cells.

About 30% of people in need can find a suitable donor in their family. But the other 70% rely on a stranger to save their lives.

Anthony Nolan helps that 70% find those precious matches.

They have over 750,000 adults on their register and they are constantly working to increase that number. Every time someone is in need of a transplant, they check the register for a match.
