We provide respite breaks to young carers and vulnerable children

Story

I am cycling the french route of the camino de santiago de compostela. That’s 800km in total including 6.5km of ascents, starting in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port. Aiming to complete in a fortnight, starting 6 October.

If it encourages donations (and even if it doesn’t), I’ll also be cycling the whole thing with a monkey tail beard.

Honey Pot are a children’s charity that provides support and restbite breaks for young carers in the UK between the ages of 5 and 12. These are children who provide care for a family member, usually a parent, who due to illness, disability, a mental health problem or an addiction, cannot cope without their support. I have been a carer for much of my adult life. I can’t imagine what it must be like going through that process as a child.

Any donations you can afford would be highly appreciated and put to great use.
