Story
In 2023 I am completing 2 rides for Children's Hospice South West's hospice in St Austell, Little Harbour!
On Sunday 28th May I am taking part in Ride London where i will attempt to complete 100 miles as Betty!
On Friday 7th July I am going to attempt 225 miles uphill to Bristol in the annual Ride for Precious Lives- this is a new challenge for me as it is going in the opposite direction where everything is uphill including climbing the iconic Cheddar gorge- there is no free wheeling this time!
I appreciate times are hard so any donation you can give will help me support the 150 children with a life limiting condition that are currently receiving resilience, respite, treatment management and end of life care at Little Harbour!
£5 will fund 15 minutes of care,
£10 will fund 30 minutes of care
£20 will fund 1 hour of care!
and don't forget to gift aid too!
Betty will continue as the Charity queen of Cornwall with your help!
Please read the quote below to sum up what the hospice mean to so many families:
Luke is father to Seth
“I’m a firefighter. People think I’m strong, that I can deal with anything! I can run in to a burning building and save people. I’m brave and fearless!
But when you know your son has a life-limiting condition, there are many times when I’ve not felt brave or strong enough, and times when our family life has been filled with fear.
“That’s when the hospice has made all the difference – being there with us every step of the way, carrying us through the uncertainty, helping us to see through the smoke and the fog of so many questions and giving us precious family times. "
Thankyou ,
Betty aka Fred
