Although I haven't ridden a bike for 10 years I've been talked into pedalling from Whitehaven to Sunderland, through the north Cumbrian fells and up the Pennines - a mere 140 miles from coast to coast.  I’m hoping to raise about £4500 for Carlisle Mencap and would really appreciate any support you’re able to pledge for me to attempt this ridiculous challenge – if I don’t manage to do it (the training regime is a bit of a struggle at the moment), I’ll pay the amount you pledge on your behalf.
