Story
So, I've decided to be really brave and take on the mighty maternity tower at Ipswich Hospital by abseiling down it's 135 feet high, but every foot will count towards fundraising for The Blossom Appeal.
During my 5 week stay in hospital I watched the builders hard at work building the new Breast Care Unit; pouring the concrete base and knock out windows as well as demolishing walls and clearing out both existing buildings.
My Mum tells me I was really ill and I lost all my memory. Watching the builders every day was a lot of fun and I used to put up sticky notes to send them messages from my window on the 7th floor of the maternity block.
I want to help raise funds to help the builders finish their work. I now want to be a builder and am going to college to train in construction skills when I finish school.
The appeal, run by Colchester & Ipswich Hospitals Charity, is helping to raise the £6.2 million required to build a dedicated Breast Care Centre for patients. The charity have the final £500,000 to go and I want to do all I can to help them get to this target. A new Breast Care Centre is going to make a world of difference to every patient. Whether that's a more comfortable waiting area or getting some fresh air in the private garden it's all going to be so worth it. Thank you in advance for supporting me and helping me be brave when I go over the edge for The Blossom Appeal!
