Story
Three Peak Challenge
for McMillan Cancer Care.
As many of you already may know my mother has been battling the devastating diagnosis of terminal brain cancer for the past eight month and has recently been told she is at the final stage of her life despite surgery and aggressive treatment.
Throughout this debilitating time I have been planning to raise much needed funds for the McMillan cancer care nurses that have supported not just my mam but the whole family unit throughout this life shattering time. This I’m sure many of you can relate to as cancer is all around us and will effect 1 in 2 of us at some point in our life. Having McMillan services must not be taken for granted as they solely rely on donations and charity events to keep providing this amazing cancer care, something that we all may need for our family members in the future.
I have been training to complete a solo challenge since the beginning of this year where I’m going to attempt three mountains which are the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in just three days.
Starting in Fort William Scotland, climbing Ben Nevis (4,414ft) on day one then a 256 mile drive to the Lake District, England to climb Scar-fell Pike (3,209ft) on day two. Then for my final foot of the challenge I will drive a further 211 miles to Snowdonia in Wales to complete the mighty peak of Snowdon (3,560ft) on day three.
A total climb of 11,182ft and a round trip of 992miles all in three days.
I would greatly appreciate your support along the way, you can follow my journey on my Facebook and Instagram page. I have also set up a Just Giving page and I will have a sponsor form at Maxwell street Motors where I work, Or you can inbox me with any sponsorship, no matter how big or small any donation will 100% go to McMillan cancer care.
I’m thanking you all for your kindness and support. Freddie Foreman.
