Fundraising for Tree of Hope
Last summer I did my first triathlon to raise money to pay for ABA (Applied Behaviour Analysis) Therapy for our son Fraser. The money raised has allowed us to provide therapy for another year which was absolutely fantastic.
During that time Fraser has made great progress and is now able to engage much more with the world around him. His communication is still limited but he understanding has improved and he has recently started going to football classes with Daddy at a weekend.
Fraser has recently being diagnosed with autism which didn’t come as a surprise to us. We are currently in the process of getting him assessed for an ECHP so that he can attend mainstream primary school in September with 1:1 support. This has always been one of our goals.
We would love to be able to supplement this 1:1 support with ABA Therapy to help Fraser transition into school life more easily. But it is very unlikely that this will be funded by our local authority which is highly frustrating given how much it has helped Fraser over the past 18 months.
So this year, with the help of my two close friends, I’ll be entering an Olympic Triathlon in order to raise the much needed funds. If you can spare any money it would be very much appreciated by our family,
