Story
As many of you will know I ran my first marathon at London in 2010 raising funds for CHAS. Since then I’ve continued to run taking in my biggest challenge in 2017 by completing my first Ultra. I’ve rarely run for charity as it can be a daunting task having to constantly ask people for money.
I hadn’t intended running London 2019 for charity however at the start of the year myself and Mark received the devastating news that Mark’s childhood best friend was back in hospital having had pancreas issues for a number of years. Sadly we lost Fraser shortly afterwards and had to come to terms with the fact we’d never see him again.
It was through Fraser that Mark and I met and had it not been for him I wouldn’t have the amazing family I have today. Fraser was taken far too young, just days before his 45th birthday.
On the day of Fraser’s funeral I decided that I wanted to raise money whilst doing something that I love. The money taken at his funeral has been donated to Guts UK and hopefully I can boost that figure through my fundraising efforts.
I’ll be running London 2019 in memory of Fraser with Mark cheering me on along the way and I hope to raise a few ££ to help others suffering with pancreas/digestive issues.
Thanks very much for your support xx
