Again I cannot thank eveyone enough for such kindness for something so close to my heart There is still time to donate folks if anyone out there would like to make a difference to people in need. Ok folks!!! Well it was the worst conditions for years, many did not even get it the water and many got pulled out!!! Force 5/6 at times!!! Safe to say the middletons did not let this faze us and we both completed every last inch!!! So people that haven't donated NOW is the time, time for a beer! Or 2!

Everyone's generosity is amazing so far, thank you all. Let's keep going tho folks, such a great cause, dig deep.

The time has come to take the well talked about, and in some cases not even believed, dip in the ocean.

As many of you all know I lost my mum, Lynne Pamela Middleton, almost 12 years ago now to breast cancer, and she sadly passed away in the summer of 2000.

Cancer effects nearly all of us in some way or form, whether it's losing someone close to you or even developing the illness yourself, so for a few years now I have been raising money for cancer awerness and help for those in need or reasearch itself. I have found that MacMillan trust have been a fantastic help to many of these people.

So this year myself, my old boy, Neil Middleton (63 by the way), have decided to take the plundge into the Bosphorus Strait in Istanbul. we are swimming across the busy shipping lane from Europe to Asia, the distance is 3miles (tidal) and must be completed in 90 mins!!! or else!!! (don't worry they do close the shipping lane to avoid hitting the whales!!!)

The Aberdonion poet Lord Byron himself became the first known person to swim acroos in 1810 and these fellow Aberdonions are looking to follow in his iconic strokes!

So I am kindly asking you if you could part with any amount of your hard earned cash to support this fantastic cause.
