Loch Morlich Hike for Tenovus Scotland · 28 August 2016

We provide medical research pilot funds to deliver health and scientific benefits

Story

We (2 Robert Gordon University PhD students  and a engineering Apprentice) would like to hike Loch Morlich (6K) to raise funds for Tenovus Scotland, especially the Grampian Region.

Tenovus Scotland is a great charity, making research for early career researchers possible, with small grants in the early stages of research: http://www.tenovus-scotland.org.uk/index.html. Different research areas are funded,  cardio-vascular disease, cancer, neurodegenerative disease are just a few of the many examples.

Tenovus Grampian have yearly open grant applications for smaller research grants (up to £12,000) as well as almost yearly PhD scholars through the Moulton-Barrett Research PhD Scholarship or this year also the Princess Royal Scholarship.

We are trying to raise funds together with a team from Aberdeen University https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/university-of-aberdeen-for-tenovus-scotland. Each team has a current Moulton-Barrett Research PhD Scholar.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page, we will keep you updated on the fundraising outcomes and upload pictures after the hike.
