Story
Last year, we - Hilary and Kimberley - found out our dad David had been diagnosed with lung cancer. All told, that was a pretty crap news day. Then to top it off, a few months later our step-dad, Maurice, our mummy Linda's husband, was also diagnosed, also with lung cancer. Just when you think things can't get any worse...
So we - Hilary, Kimberley and Linda - are walking the Butterwick 10k Midnight Walk in an attempt to raise as much money for a local charity as is humanly possible. The Butterwick is a local hospice in our home town of Stockton, providing compassionate care free of charge, as well as providing support for families, day care, complementary therapies and counselling.
But just because it's a local charity for local people, don't let that put you southerners off. I still expect you to dig deep, if for no other reason than because I'm asking you to. And I've got two dads with cancer - you can't argue with a woman who has two dads with cancer. Yes I know, I'm shameless but we want your money and we're willing to use all ways and means to get it. Thank you for reading this and for all donations, large or small.
But especially large.
