Story
(Deferred to 2022 due to covid!)
✨Hello all,
Suprise suprise I’m doing crazy things again and have decided to run a marathon this time! I know this year has been the absolute worst and running has been the highlight of the year for me (quite literally!). By October I am hoping to be able to travel to Budapest to complete the marathon but if not, I will still be running one that weekend anyway don’t worry! It would be fab if you had anything to give to this amazing charity that helped my grandparents when they needed it most and bring some positivity and much needed support to those with terminal illness which is needed now more than ever.✨
This year, Exeter University are taking on the incredible challenge of running the Budapest Marathon in aid of Marie Curie UK.
Marie Curie provide care and support for people living with any terminal illness, and their families. Last year they cared for over 40000 people across the UK.
We will be fundraising throughout the year; organising and running events, initially online but hopefully in person very soon in order to rasie as much money as possible to help the terminally ill across the UK.
Together, we can make an incredible difference to the charity's work. Raising as little as £70 will cover the costs for someone with terminal illness to attend day therapy at a Marie Curie - which is just the tip of the iceberg for the work Marie Curie do.
Please support us and take us closer to our goals and make a difference in as many lives as possible!!!
