Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I will be running the Berlin Marathon on 16th September 2018. I'll be running in memory of my Grandad, who passed away in May 2014 after losing his battle with cancer.
I will also be running for every individual whose life is affected by the cruelty of cancer. Millions of people live life, millions of miles out of their comfort zone, for weeks/months/years - I will push myself through 26.2 miles of a sweaty struggle.
Macmillan provided an ever constant source of support, from being at the end of the phone 24/7 for all the family, to reading Grandad poems at night time whilst loved ones rested their eyes. I have pledged to raise £1000 for Macmillan because I want to make a difference, and help make it possible for them to continue improving and supporting the lives of everyone living with cancer.
I used to call my Grandad - Grandad Fluff, because he had the cutest and softest silvery hair. He was so proud of all of us, and I want to make him proud.
I am also taking part in this marathon to challenge myself, and when I run each of the 26.2 miles I will be thinking of all the people that would love to have the option of running a marathon, but sadly it is not possible for them.
I will never take for granted that I am healthy and happy.
Any donations would be very much appreciated!
All the love,
Frankie x
