Myself and a group of 14 other students are part of NCS (National Citizen Service) and for our community project we are planning to raise money for Age UK, a charity which works hard to provide care for the elderly, to help them enjoy later life as much as possible. 

We're also going to some bag packing at Morrisons in T.Wells and volunteer at local care homes and day centers for the elderly providing things such as tea & cake afternoons, art sessions or even cleaning and generally giving our time to those who may need some support or company.

Old age is not an illness but something the vast majority of people will have to go through and it can be challenging. The work and research Age UK do, and services they provide are so important to the community as well as being very meaningful to individuals involved in projects and supported by the charity.
