Hello and thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

To show my support for the Lesbian & Gay Foundation, and the fantastic work they do each year I will be running not one, but two races this year!  I donned my running gear for the Adidas Silverstone Half Marathon, which took place on 3rd March.  I completed the race in 2 hours and 25 minutes, thank you so much for those of you who sponsored me.

My next challenge is the BUPA Manchester 10km, taking place in May.  There's still to sponsor me and show your support for a very worthy cause, please read on to see how you can make a real difference.......

By challenging myself I hope I can inspire you kind folk to support the Lesbian & Gay Foundation (LGF) and their mission of ending homophobia and empowering people.  Each year they support over 40,000 people via a range of mental health, wellbeing and health services.  These include anti-homophobia projects in schools, a befriending service, counselling services (including one of the few counselling services specifically for male survivors of sexual violence and abuse), sexual health testing clinics and advice surgeries.  The LGF also undertake research projects and policy campaigning on issues effecting lesbian, gay and bisexual people.    

Homophobia is still a significant issue within today’s society with 3 in 4 people experiencing some sort of prejudice or discrimination because of their sexuality.  By sponsoring me you can help put a stop to such mindless discrimination and not only show your support for the work of the Lesbian & Gay Foundation but also in a fair and equal society.
