We deliver vital mental health services to children in schools across the UK

Story

In support of the Credit Suisse’s Charity of the Year 2008, The Place2Be, I will be joining a group of intrepid employees and raising funds through a motorbike tour of the UK from Friday 4 July to Sunday 6 July.

The trip will start in Columbus Courtyard on the morning of Friday 4 July. The first day of the trip will see riders visit Place2Be centres in Harlow, before taking in fantastic roads and scenery, going as far North as Durham and the Yorkshire Moors and coming back down through Cumbria and the Peak District.

Each rider on the trip has been tasked with raising sponsorship so please dig deep and sponsor me through this site. Donating online is easy and secure and gift aid can be claimed on your donation.

As a special incentive for you to dig deep the "Long Way Down" team has provided me kindly with a T-shirt, DVD and book signed by Ewen McGregor (T-shirt only) and Charley Boorman which will go to the highest donation.

All funds raised through Moto2Be will go to The Place2Be – a charity working inside schools to support and nurture troubled children. They provide one-to-one and group counselling sessions, plus a drop-in service open to all school pupils. By providing children with a safe place to explore their problems through talking, creative work and play, they are better able to cope and therefore make better informed decisions about their lives.

Please give us your generous support.
