Story
On 16 October 2020 our lovely Dad, Frank, died of prostate cancer.
After being diagnosed in 2013, he enjoyed seven years of great quality life. He managed his condition with various drug treatments and never let it take over. These years gave Dad his favourite role - being an active and loving Grandpa to his five grandchildren.
He was a wonderful husband and Dad, and taught us the importance and joy of what family love is.
In Dad's final year, especially in his last few months, we were fortunate enough to have the incredible support from St Gemma's Hospice. We will be forever grateful to all the doctors, nurses and support team who helped us. Even knowing they were there at the end of the phone was a comfort.
The work they do is invaluable to families living through terminal illness. We are hoping to raise money for them, in Dad's name, so they can continue to help families as they helped us. We are so grateful for any support.
