More than 10 million people have fled their homes to escape conflict in Ukraine. Leaving behind jobs, belongings and loved ones, they need shelter, food and water. Donate now.

Story

I'm walking the Calderdale Way because I want to help Ukrainian families, mostly mothers and children, who from no fault of their own have to take the brunt of Putin's nonsensical war. They are all superheroes because they have shown exemplary resolve and willingness to defend their homeland against all odds.

The Challenge:

In April 2022, I am planning to walk the entire Calderdale Way, a 50+ mile hard circular walk (distance of two marathons!) with a total climb of over 9,000 feet (2x the height of Ben Nevis). I want to achieve this in 24 hours while carrying all the provisions in my backpack.

To make the challenge more fun, I'm going to give you a few incentives:

25% raised - I will go wild camping and raise the Ukrainian flag 🇺🇦 above my tent.

50% raised - I will shave my head (can't wait to go bald but I'm not sure if my colleagues will recognise me).

75% raised - I will sing the Ukrainian anthem on camera (can't speak Ukrainian) and share it on social media.

100% raised - I will go wild swimming (I have never done it before!)

You can follow all my activities here.

Please donate generously! Thanks a million.

Do let me know if you want to join me and I will add you to the team! We are stronger together.
