Thanks for taking the time to visit my fundraising page. I am part of a group that is running in the L..A. Big 5K and/or L.A. Marathon on March 17/18, 2018, and are raising funds for the Westside German Shepherd Rescue.

Our family includes two dogs, a German Shepherd (Captain) and a Golden Retriever (Milo). They are completely different, but best friends.  We got Captain two years ago when he was eight weeks old. He was our first GS. He is an amazing dog. Smart, loves to play fetch, friendly with other dogs, and so loyal to us. His greetings when we have been away, whether for five minutes, an hour or a week are priceless.

The photo of Captain and I above is from the Santa Barbara State Street Mile - dog mile in June '17. He did great, though it was a challenge keeping up with him. Can't wait to do it this year. 

Shepherd's are a special breed. They require a lot of work by their owners. Which is why I guess so many end up in shelters/rescues. Which is heart breaking. Our dog Milo is a rescue, and when I became aware of Westside German Shepherd Rescue and the incredible work they do to rescue close to 1,000 dogs a year (that's right, 1,000), I had to help. 

Please help me raise funds for this terrific organization. Any amount you can contribute, $5, $10 or more is greatly appreciated. I hope to blow past my fundraising goal. In addition, Captain is helping me to train for the 5K run.
