Story
My Grandad Bri was the kindest man you ever could meet. He was known for his (slow and highly exaggerated) storytelling, sweet tooth (you would always find a choc wrapper in his car door), slow driving and his willingness to help anyone out, no matter how inconvenient it might be to himself.
Sadly, my grandad very suddenly passed away of a heart attack in December 2016. Even though it has been almost 5 years, the sadness of his passing is still very much with me, and he is dearly missed by everyone.
I wanted to do something significant in his memory, but also to help fund life saving research so we can help and save more people with heart related diseases. It is for these reasons I have decided to do a skydive for the British Heart Foundation on my grandad’s birthday (10th September) of this year. I am absolutely PETRIFIED of heights but I’m willing to go out of my comfort zone and cross something off my bucket list for a great cause. Any donation you can spare, big or small, will be greatly greatly appreciated!
The BHF has helped halve the number of people dying from heart and circulatory disease in the UK but sadly every day hundreds of people lose their lives. It's only thanks to support from people like us that the BHF can create new treatments and discover new cures. £24 could pay for two hours of research by an early career scientist, but every pound helps so please give what you can to help me hit my target.
