As you may know, I spent some years before I retired working for Macmillan, and saw the services they provided to support people with cancer - not only medical support, but innovations such as a Benefits advice service and a telephone advice line.  As well as that, like most people of our age, we have had great friends and family members who have been affected, or are currently suffering from, cancer.
