Fran had been diagnosed with bowel cancer that had sadly spread to the liver. Although we had been given some small hope, she died suddenly in the early hours of Boxing Day. 

Throughout the last couple of months we had been given our own Macmillan Nurse to help Fran and the family. The level of support and help that we  were given was amazing and it made all our lives that much better. Fran regularly spoke of how impressed she was that there was an organisation that moved mountains, all for the patients' comfort and well-being. 

It is therefore fitting that we try and help Macmillan continue this fight and help others through their own ordeals.
