This February, I'll be climbing 5895m up Kilimanjaro raising funds to support critical youth-led development. 

I started a life long relationship supporting Restless Development after meeting them in Sierra Leone, and seeing first hand their work on curbing the spread of Ebola. A small, but mighty, British grassroots development agency, Restless successfully uses a model that educates and trains young people around the world to make the biggest changes in society.

Now let's talk about the climb! You may not know, Kilimanjaro is the tallest summit in Africa and tallest free standing mountain in the world. Half of all attempting climbers fail experiencing 5 ecological zones starting from the bushland of Africa you progress through Rainforest, Heath, Alpine Desert before finishing with the Arctic at -30°C. 

Your donation will support young leaders across the global agency in each of the Restless' 9 Hubs to lead the practical solutions to problems that exist in their communities across 74 countries, from fighting for sexual rights, ending child marriage and HIV, to accessing employment and becoming entrepreneurs, through to mobilising responses to emergencies like the Nepal earthquake, the Ebola outbreak and the Coronavirus pandemic.
