Story
Hi all,
Well, I'm back again! This time I am raising money for the National Osteoporosis Society who have kindly funded my entry into the Staffordshire IronMan 70.3 triathlon on the 10th of June 2018. The half IronMan is a 1.2 mile open water swim, then a 56 mile bike ride, followed by a 13.1 mile run. That's a total of 70.3 miles! In exchange for my entry fees I will be working to raise £1000 for NOS over the next nine months.
This charity is close to my heart as not only does my sister work as one of their fundraising officers, I have also seen the devastating effect of osteoporosis when working on the hip fracture unit in the RUH in Bath. It is a relatively small charity with it's headquarters in Bath so definitely deserves the support of local people!
