Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page!
On April 23rd, I'm undertaking a huge personal challenge by running the London Marathon. I was lucky enough to get a ballot place. However, shortly after entering the ballot, the amount of men I know facing a prostate cancer diagnosis rose to seven. They are dads, uncles, grandparents and brothers some of whom didn't have any symptoms before being diagnosed.
Your generous donations will be used to support Prostate Cancer Research. They are dedicated to creating brand new prostate cancer treatments with the potential to reduce the side effects, dramatically cut the cost of treatment and ultimately to change the outcome for men and their families.Prostate cancer is now the most diagnosed cancer in the UK and 11,500 men die from the disease every year, with this number only increasing. Families affected by prostate cancer need breakthrough treatments, and research is the only way to turn this hope into reality.
My feet are growing barnacles and my legs have become well acquainted with an ice machine but whether I'm running, or crawling, I will give it my all.
Money is tight for most so please only donate what you can afford. Whether you have a couple of pounds leftover from your lunch or forgo your cup of takeaway coffee, every amount, no matter how small will help PCR to continue their vital work. I will keep an eye on my page over the marathon weekend so any encouragement will be warmly recieved!
Sincerely, thank you.
Love,
