Story
Mum was admitted into Darlington Memorial Hospital ICU last year for pneumonia, sepsis and flu, where she was put into an induced coma to help her body fight the infection. Thanks to the incredible doctors and nurses she was woken up after a very long couple of weeks and home with us after 6 weeks. It was a long road to recovery, with mum having to rebuild all the muscle she lost but we all know how strong she is and she made a fantastic recovery both mentally and physically.
We could not thank Darlington ICU enough, so because of that, a year on, Sophie and I are giving ourselves a challenge... running 100 miles in a month! The staff were not only amazing with mum, but extremely supportive to us. So please donate for a great charity so other families who might end up in a similar situation can receive the same incredible treatment ours did.
We really appreciate anyone that donates and will be documenting our journey as we go, please feel free to share our challenge with friends and family!
