Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
As is tradition - you get a terrible childhood photo in return for your efforts so far!
This is the 3rd time I've run the Great Manchester 10k for BHF. The first time I did this it was in memory of my sister Susie who had cardiomyopathy. Since then, my father was diagnosed with it and we have learned that rather than being a terrible random disease, in my family, it is genetic. BHF has helped me get the support I needed to find out that I too carry the gene.
As time goes on, understanding of the disease improves through the work funded by BHF so each donation makes a difference.
Thanks for your support, the Manchester 10k is a warm up for the Great North Run in September - your donations will be key to keeping me on track for my first (and last) half marathon!
