Event: Rhodar Cross-Point Challenge, on 9 September 2023
An exhilarating challenge situated around Derwentwater, in the Lake District, where two teams will need to navigate a fixed course, take on heights, cliff faces and water-based challenges in an attempt to collect the most points…

Story

Two teams will navigate Derwentwater, in opposing directions, competing against one another to collect the most points. The Challenge will incorporate various challenges along the way, including canoe-orienteering, lake jumping and more to raise money for WellChild. Two weeks after Noah was born, he was transferred to Alder Hey Hospital where he spent his first 9 months. Noah has a very rare lung condition and is one of only 19 children in the world to have it, and the first diagnosed in the UK. He had a tracheostomy to open his airway and was put onto a ventilator which helped him to breathe. He was on this 24/7 and needed round the clock 1-2-1 care. Noah and his family have had the support of two WellChild Nurses who have been there to help the family care for Noah with his ventilator requirements and supported them transitioning home from hospital. With the support of WellChild Nurses Noah has been able to attend school and is thriving.
