Story
Life is precious!
On Saturday 30th/Sunday 31st July I take on my biggest sporting challenge to date, the Montane Lakeland 50. The aim is complete the 50 mile route in the Lake District in 24 hours with over 3,000m of ascent. Due to injury, this will be a hike not a run. It will be a test of physical endurance and mental stamina. It's a challenge I want to make count for something greater.
I was so saddened to learn that Jon Carter, true gent and fellow Abingdon Cycling Club member, lost his battle with cancer last week. A life taken way too soon. In his final days, he was grateful for the care he received at Sobell House.
I am now on a mission to dedicate this race to Jon's memory and, as tribute to his life, raise money for Sobell House. I have set a target of £10 per mile.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. If you feel able to support the cause at this time, I and Jon's family would be grateful.
